A Lot To Talk About
May 15, 2008
Last night was interesting to say the least. It was a very, edgy, uncomfortable high. Despite my ill-feelings, I tried to write and the unintelligible rambling of my last post is what resulted. I hope the rest of my pot doesn’t have the same effect.
That being said, there was stuff I wanted to write about last night. Firstly, Hilary Clinton won the latest primary which happened to be in West Virginia. She won in a landslide with 60+% of the vote which is, coincidentally enough, the number of West Virginians who would like to marry their own cousins. Seriously, this win does nothing but assuage her ego that people still like her. I’ve read that Hilary’s campaign is 20 million dollars in debt. She is in the hole for that much, with no hopes for winning the nomination. At this point, it just looks like she’s deluded. She should bow out soon and preserve whatever shred of dignity she still has.
I read an article yesterday afternoon about a study done on the effects of marijuana. It found all the usual stuff. Pot can raise your risk of heart attack and stroke. I’m shocked. I’ve never heard that anywhere before. Never mind that most everything these days cause an increased risk of those two. The study seemed just fine until I read that the smoker in the study were smoking 78 TO 350 JOINTS A WEEK! I don’t see how that could be a typo. Now, I’m not a doctor, but I think smoking 78 to 350 OF ANYTHING will cause a heart attack. Hell, those people should be dead from the sheer amount of THC in their systems. And another thing, where the hell were these people getting their weed? I bought an eighth for $50 which made 3 large joints. These stoners are lighting up tens of thousands of dollars a week. How do they even have time to earn money? They would have to be smoking constantly to get through that many. I think that this study has some serious flaws in it’s data collection methods if they are reporting that number as being serious. (Original Article)
I took my bike out today. I went and rode it on the Mount Vernon Trail. I parked at Belle Haven which is at mile 7 from Mount Vernon. I rode from there south, to MV and back, a distance of about 14 miles. After that I was still felling pretty good so I decided to ride north up to Gravelly Point, just past Reagan National Airport. That was not as good of a ride because part of the trail was out due to construction and a section of it was on roads with cars. I made it there and back which was another 16 miles. That means my grand total today was 30 miles on my bike. My legs are killing me and I’m so tired.
Oh, I broke 500 hits today. Yay.
