What Was The Point Then?

I went to the doctors again today to find out the results of my tests from a couple of weeks ago. Turns out that, as far as things like kidney function and cholesterol and stuff, I’m perfect. 100% peak physical condition. Unfortunately, they didn’t run any STD screens on me which was kinda the point. They took 2 vials of blood and made me piss in a cup last time but didn’t screen me even after I asked.

Turns out that screening is expensive here at Tech. I figured that it would be cheap to encourage people to come in and get it done but nope. A full panel of tests including hepatitis and HIV runs at $300+. Not only is everything expensive, but a couple of things require a urethral swap. I think that having a small stick poked up my cock might be worse then having a disease. Anyway, tomorrow I’m gonna piss in another cup first thing and bring that in. They plan on checking it for any anomalys. If something shows up, they will have to run more tests to find out what, but it will show the possible presence of something bad.

This is not entirely unrelated but Microsoft updated my copy of Windows today. I say it’s related because Windows is the computer equivalent to HIV – once your computer has it, there’s nothing you can do until it dies it’s slow death from other viruses. Anyway, once it updated a little box popped up asking if I wanted to restart now or later. I’ve encountered this before so I know that clicking “Restart Later” means ask again in 5 minutes. I’LL RESTART LATER WHEN I FUCKING FEEL LIKE IT! When Firefox updates and they ask, you say later and it doesn’t bother you again. That’s why Google and Mozilla are kicking the crap out of Microsoft in applications.
